Meet The Author
Carlena Davis is a cookbook author who lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband and daughter. She started her Food Blog, Spilling the Sweet Tea in July of 2017. As a Southern girl and a busy mom, she wanted to “Spill the Sweet Tea” on how to make great southern dishes but also share some quick 30 minute meals for busy working moms. As a food blogger, her debut children’s book was born out of her passion to educate and empowers kids in the kitchen and introduce them to the joys of cooking. A Sales Executive by day, children’s book author by night, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Hampton University and her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. A North Carolina native, she also traveling and advocating for Alzheimer’s Awareness.
